Alright then, here are the winners of
Lights, Camera, Shoot: The Must Bol Film Contest
In all, we got 28 entries, albeit some of them were just not around our contest’s theme at all.
So our Grand prize winner who takes home a brand new Samsung video camera is … Nandan Latwal (Lesser Man) for exploring masculinities in an entirely new light.
The second prize goes to Adiba Muzzafar (Camera Conscious) for experimenting with the medium, with a personal and thought provoking narrative. She wins an Apple iPod Shuffle.
The winner of the Third Prize is Tasha Jaiswal & Gargie Sharma (I Belong To Me) for bringing in to public view the experience of control that a lot of young people deal with privately. He too wins an Apple iPod Shuffle.
The Must Bol Appreciation award is shared by three crews, each winning a Flipkart.com voucher worth Rs. 1000:
· Ravisha Mall(Not Me) for a simple yet mature portrayal of young people’s insecurities caused by societal pressures.
· Girls from Vedic Kanya Vidalaya (We will Fight Back) for a punch packed perspective on fighting back violence.
· Sundeep Choudhary (genडर) who was able to bring to light the fear that our gender brings to our lives.
A very special Jury Mention for Pulkit Datta (Jason) for picking up a much neglected issue and presenting it with panache.
